Live video feed
Raw RGB or thermal frames stream from the drone over the local link and render in real time.
AI-integrated drone software
Drone Camera Action pairs a drone-mounted thermal and RGB camera with on-device AI, giving livestock and game-farm owners real-time, GPS-tagged alerts on their animals. Confirm each sighting in one tap, and every flight becomes training-ready data.
What we build
Drone, phone, and cloud working as one system, built for the field where connectivity cannot be assumed. Locate, count, and monitor your animals faster and more safely than a manual patrol.
Raw RGB or thermal frames stream from the drone over the local link and render in real time.
Detection models run entirely on the phone and switch automatically with the active camera. No mobile signal required.
The operator is notified the moment the model flags an animal, with a bounding box drawn over the feed.
A person in the loop confirms the species, capturing the frame and saving a trusted sighting.
Confirmed sightings upload as structured, GPS-tagged records. The cloud backend runs preprocessing and validation before they reach the training pipeline.
Every confirmed sighting becomes labelled data, so detection gets sharper over time.
From take-off to data
Five steps, field to cloud.
The drone controller and the phone discover each other over Wi-Fi, and the live feed starts automatically.
The pilot flies the survey, or a supervised Planned Flight waypoint mission, always in command and within visual line of sight.
On-device models flag animals live and draw detections over the feed.
One tap confirms the species and saves the sighting locally, even with no connectivity.
Back in range, sightings upload to the cloud as training-ready records.
Detection classes
The models run in both thermal and RGB, and every detection returns the same schema: class, confidence, and bounding box. Cattle and sheep are trained and validated today, with game species in active development.
About
Drone Camera Action (Pty) Ltd is a South African technology company building AI-integrated drone software for livestock and game-farm operators. We combine drones, on-device machine learning, and a Google Cloud backend into one practical system for locating, counting, and monitoring animals in the field. Wildlife and conservation are a longer-term direction for the same technology.
